March 1999 - Zoo Olympics (601-352-2585) March, 1999 Allows children ages 3 to 12 to match their skill and characteristics with those of several different animal species. Participants receive a certificate with the officaial Zoo Olympic seal once they complete all animal stops. Location: Jackson Zoological Park - National Cutting Horse Association (601-960-1891) March 16th thru 28th, 1999 This annual event is a definite crowd pleaser! The sport of "cutting" involves a horse and rider attempting to seperate cattle from a herd and keeping them away. Competition ranges from amateur to professional riders.
